Conception Vessel 12, also known as Ren 12, Abbreviated as CV 12, Transliterated Zhongwan in Chinese, Middle Epigastrium in English.

CV 12 Acupuncture Point Location:

On the anterior median line of the upper abdomen, 4.0 cun above the umbilicus.

CV 12 Acupuncture Point Indications:

  • Epigastric pain, vomiting, hiccup, acid regurgitation
  • Abdominal distention, diarrhea, dyspepsia
  • Cough, copious phlegm
  • Jaundice
  • Insomnia
