ST 9 Acupuncture Point Location:

On the neck, lateral to the Adam’s apple, on the anterior border of muscle sternocleidomastoideus, where the common carotid artery pulsates.

ST 9 Acupuncture Point Indications:

  • Sore throat, scrofula, goiter
  • Asthma, hemoptysis
  • Hypertension, apoplexy, hemiplegia
  • Arthralgia of the knee

ST 9 Acupuncture Point Benefits:

Regulates Qi and Blood, subdues rebellious Qi, benefits the throat and neck.
